I found the above quote on pintrest as I was researching self discovery. For a long time, I struggled with who I am and what my purpose in life is.
I was felling like I wasn’t on the journey God had placed me on. I’ve been solely reliant on my own strengths. You see, I know that The Joy of the Lord is my strength (Nehemiah 8:10) and I can do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:13) and I am a chosen generation (1 Peter 2:19) . But, because of various decisions and mistakes I have made in the past, I chose not to believe it. I knew God had a plan and purpose for me but I chose to go my own way.
Jeremiah 29:11 clearly states: For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
God has a plan for me and He knew it before I was even born. I know now that it’s to bless people with my gifts and positively impact the lives of people I come into contact with. But before I begin to form relationships and influence people’s lives in service and creativity, I need to work on myself and set out the aims for achieving my goals in life.
In this season of growth I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to go back to the basics of BELIEVING who I am in Christ, in my abilities and work on my relationship with Him first and foremost.
Matthew 6:33 says: seek first the Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added. That’s my mantra for progress. A change is coming 🙏🏾
